URGENT!!! DOES A BOTTLE WARMER NEED WATER?
bunny2 · 15/12/2004 22:04
As dd is going to have a formula feed tonight I have dusted off the electric bottle warmer. Dh insists we should fill it with water but I dont remember doing so when I used it for ds 4 years ago. Do you use it dry or with water???
mrschristmaswallace · 15/12/2004 22:06
yes i think so, google for the make and they might be a user guide or something.hth
galaxy · 15/12/2004 22:07
Yes definitely. We had an Avent and you put the bottle in and then add cold water to about half way up the bottle.
Kaysleighbells · 15/12/2004 22:08
sounds like you have a definite case of baby brain bunny2
TheHollyAndTheTwiglett · 15/12/2004 22:10
ahh .. bollocks .. stick it in the microwave and give it a good shake
galaxy · 15/12/2004 22:15
agree...40 seconds in the microwave followed by a good shake, (the bottle not you) is the best bet
TheHollyAndTheTwiglett · 15/12/2004 22:18
those bottle warmers (we had an avent one) take up to 9 minutes to heat through
bunny2 · 15/12/2004 22:25
Lol, no wonder it didtn work last night!!! Damn dh, he's right again!
Cant do the microwave because (wait for it)
... I am scared of ghosts and wont go downstairs in the dark.
TheHollyAndTheTwiglett · 15/12/2004 22:28
a few solutions to your ghosty problem
.. bring the microwave upstairs
or send DH downstairs
or serve it room temp .. just add the powder and shake whilst upstairs (I never heated DS's bottles just used room-temp water) .. you'll need one of those formula containers but its easy honest
bunny2 · 15/12/2004 22:33
I have sent dh downstairs before but he is such a heavy sleeper it takes too long to wake him by which time dd is screaming at full volume and waking ds. I shall try room temp water - has to be the easiest solution. Cheers Twigs.
