my dd used to love her pushchair but ive since sold her two nice big ones and have a zapp for me and silver cross micro for my mum. she screams and goes rigid when she ets put in to them, is is because she is uncomfy beacuse they are so light weight (and neither lean back) or does she just not want to go in them??
advice needed as im struggling to get out the door without her screaming! x

How old is she???? My dd was much much happier rear facing and still is at 2.5 even though she walks most places!

she's 12 months in 3 weeks. i used to have a first wheels and a silver cross 3d. she faced me in the first wheels one, but also seemed quite happy facing out in the 3d, but since i sold them and brought these for her she screams! i dont know whether to get her a big comfy one as the seats are not well padded on my two lightweight ones! im so confused and dp is getting cross that i keep buying and selling x

it could be because she's not rear facing or it could be that she wants to walk or just not be confined. Could you borrow a rear facing one just to try?

i dont know any one with a rear facing one! i have no friends with babies how sad am i! shes only just mastered crawling so dont think its that she wants to walk. she does look uncomfy in the other two, im forever having to push her back up in her seat, she's not vry big for her age?! x

Well it does sound like she's not comfy presumably she lurches to the side etc?

lydiathetattooedlady · 03/03/2008 18:13

yeah she lolls to the side and slides down so she look like shes dangling from the seat im always pulling and propping her up!

could well be you need something more substantial. The pliko p3 is like the 3d but not rear facing and they are often very reasonable 2nd hand. I would keep the other 2 for when she is older rather than sell and rebuy etc (or at least keep one)

lydiathetattooedlady · 03/03/2008 18:29

could you or anyone else recommend me anything?? out of my 2 big ones i preferred the first wheels with air tyres as it pushed a lot easier! i cant spend a fortune tho ill be in a lotta trouble! x

I'm the wrong person to ask - I ended up with a bugaboo frog it is an absolutely dream to push (I had back problems from all those heavy pushchairs) can have it forward or rear facing etc etc etc Well worth the money!!! I'm desolate to be selling it now that dd4 walks nearly everyway. AFter 4 children I can honestly say it's the best "walking" pushchair I've ever had - not great for quickly sticking in the boot though!

I think it's just an age thing (trying to save you money )

DD was the same at that age, DS is like that now - he's 1 next week. It doesn't matter what you put them in. He eventually calms down if you just grin & bear it & keep pushing, but at this age the joyous days of long walks with baby in buggy are over... They get a bit better when they reach about 2 - but then they want to walk too.
