I have 2 Dc 3.1 and 2 next week

I have loved my Phil & Ted for 2 years and have used it nearly everyday.

Today I have removed all the covers to give it a really much needed wash and have noticed how worn some areas of material are and generally knackered it is from wear and tear.

My question is should I source new covers(is this possible)?
Should I buy a new one( DD walks up to a mile ) ?
Because DD only needs to sit in for long journeys or at end of day is there a better alternative?
Really stuck on this one suggestions and brainwaves please

you can order a new set of covers from anywhere like mothercare or practicalpushchairs.com it will be about £150 for complete doubles set.

is the buggy structally sound? if so , then i wouldnt worry too much and just clean up as best you can.

I got new covers for mine from Out and About (posted) - cost about £70 for the main seat I think. The phone number is under UK contact on the phil and ted website.

Thanks for that, I am just trying to work out if I can justify refurbishing it if I will only use the back seat for another couple of months. Both DC now hate the back seat due to lack of leg room and compete as to who is most tired and likely to sleep and therefore wins the front seat.
I wish i could now find a cheapish( same as refurbing P&T) single with single handed steer/push that will suit a buggy board.
I think I am looking for that solution that doesn't exist

I'm six months ahead of you! I would soldier on with the Phil and Teds' if you're not worried about using a slightly scruffy pushchair that's seen a bit of action. It's only for another few months. Sounds like you do a lot of walking though.

About four months ago (when DS1 was about 3.5) we put the P&T double seat in the loft and made him walk everywhere - he almost weaned himself off it. Now I just use it as a single, and I think DS2 will be a better walker than his brother, he's 2.6 now and doesn't always need to get in the pushchair. I bought a single stroller but compared to the P&T it's impossible to push and has zero luggage space.

How about a secondhand Graco or other 3 wheeler that's more compatibile with a buggyboard? the buggyboard website has details of which pushchairs give the best fit and some are much better than P&T's.

Thanks GS I think you are right , I have no probs with a scruffy pushchair and Have just got to grin and bear this awkward stage. Looks like i'm getting the needle and thread out tonight then, if i can get myself off MN that is
