what buggy board allows you to walk properly?

DS1 is 3.5 and too big for our Out 'N' About double. I've bought a Lascal for our Maclaren Techno XT but I just can't walk properly (DS1 just loves the buggy board!). Stroller handles are too far away and I can't stride out properly, so I usually end up walking to the side. It's giving me a sore back.

I have my eyes on a Baby Jogger single stroller.......... but are all buggy boards not really for going out for a proper walk?

Which Lascal do you have? I need one for my Maclaren quest - I end up kicking them though...hate buggy boards but DD2 likes it..

I actually found the very original lascal good because you could attach it with the board as close as possible to the pushchair frame or the lascal 3g version because it is higher. You are possibly better off with a pushchair with handles that go around the childs head but again you need the board as close as possible to the frame of the pushchair.

I can easily push my Mountain Buggy Urban (with adjustable handle) with a kiddyboard - no problems walking behind it with DD 3.7 on it. I'm tall though.

Fab fab buggy too

I've just bought a strolli thing for our single buggy for dd2 to sit on - hated that the buggy board made me walk to the side or with outstretched arms
is pricey but worth it!

it depends on the pushchair its attached to rather than the buggyboard, if theres not much room between the stroller and the handle there really wont be much room for a lo on a buggy board so you will kick it,
i have one on my nurse hello pushchair and i can walk fine with it,

How old is your younger child? I'm afraid I don't know if you can get these in the UK, but this might be your solution.

cheers laydeez

I think the Baby Jogger city single will do as the hanfle is fairly far back, but there's still a bar that DS1 can hold onto.

Ahhh, lusting after Mountain Buggies, Amazonian!

FYI - I've used the buggyboard on a mountain buggy and it was very comfortable to walk. BUT - I've had to stop as the extra weight bearing down on the rear wheels means I get punctures fairly regularly. After the 5th visit to the bike shop in the last 12 months we've concluded that that's the problem. So now I'm also looking for a buggy without pneumatic tires to attach the buggyboard too.

I'm guessing a buggy that has adjustable handles might work...?

Haven't ever had a puncture with my Mt Buggy and buggyboard (DD weighs about 37lbs) - are you sure your tyre pressure is right? Can you get the bike shop to fit that special tape in the tyres so they don't deflate if you get a puncture?
