Doll for a boy

Hi, I need to buy a doll for a friend's 2-year old boy who would love a traditional doll but whose father refuses to let him have one! He loves his dolly pushchair and wants something to push around in it, have tea parties with etc. Can anybody recommend something that isn't going to offend daddy? I know ELC did a soft boy doll that's got zips, buttons, velcro and stuff but I can't find it on the website so wonder if they've stopped doing it. Help please!

FOUND IT!! I've found the details fo the book I mentioned. I got the name wrong, it's actually called William's Doll. It's by a woman called Charlotte Zolotow, and illustrated by William Pene du Bois. You can buy it from Amazon for around £8/£9 for a new one, and they also do used copies from around £3.

I was looking for one for my DS1 in ToysRUs and asked the assistant of they had any that weren't pink. "It's for a boy" I said...the assistant replied "Why do you want to buy a doll for a boy?" Duh
I eventuaully got one in The Entertainer - don't know if it's a boy doll or not but it's wearing an oranhe T shirt and blue spotty dungarees.

I bought my ds a baby doll in index that was about £10.Took the pink suit and headband off and redressed it in one his baby brother's babygrows,vests and nappies.Voila.
I think it's great for little boys to have a doll.Dad's look after babies, why shouldn't boys?
