baby chairs/bouncers

Is there an age when they grow out of their bouncy chairs? My 7 month old has recently started hanging over the side of hers (obviously she's strapped in so it's only her top half but still I'm worried she'll end up hitting her head on the floor). She spends more time sitting up on a playmat now but there's still times she needs to be in her chair. I've tried looking for chairs for older babies but haven't found anything so far. Anyone have any ideas or recommendations?

we stopped using the bouncy chair at about 5 months when DS's decided they wanted to sit up all the time. I put a couple of cushions behind them so if they fell backwards they didn't hurt themselves.

so can't think of other alternatives.

yes, you shouldn't use them once they can sit up.
load of tosh I thought. until ds leaned so far forwards in his that he toppled over and bashed his face on the floor

My little one is 4 and a half months and has gone off her rainforest bouncer - keeps trying to pull herself up. It's a shame as she really did love it. She enjoys her jumperoo and leapfrog learn and groove table as she likes to be properly upright. I'd go for one of these. We got the jumperoo second hand from Ebay (and it looked brand new) and the learn and groove was a christmas present from her granny. They're quite expensive but if you do a local search on Ebay you can get them MUCH cheaper than Mothercare. They're worth their weight in milk :-)
