Photo scanning

We have some photo's of dd that we took that we'd like to get scanned and put in frames for family - we no longer have the negatives etc so can't take them and get them printed off and our scanner is broke - dh has promiced a new one but that'll be after xmas any ideas to were i can get them scanned and put on disc so i can then take them to be printed????

You can take the origional prints into boots and they can make a negative £2:49, or at least it used to be that when I worked in the mini lab. It takes 7 days but you could then get the prints done on the hour from the neg.

Alot of the photo shops do prints from prints - almost like a photocopy but to photo quality! Just go in and ask.
Only issue is if photos were taken by a professionl photographer, i believe copyright issues are such that they are not supposed to do prints.

Print from print used to be 99p and take 7 days but they do it there and then in larger stores now. You've just got to work out how many copies you want and work out if it'd be cheaper to get a neg made.

There's only really an issue with prof photos if it's been printed on proffesional paper. THat's the proof of there being a copyright. I've had lots of work done on prof photos that haven't been printed on proffesional paper.
