Anyone know where I can get a bed like this.......

I want a single bed for Lotbags (3 in a few weeks) and I'd like it to have a pull out bed for friends to stay, BUT I'd like that pull out bed to pull out at almost the same level as the main bed like this It's roll out sleigh bed or the quattro stowaway bed

there have been a number of threads on these, will see if i can find them. This is what we want but in about 12 months time!!

I think argos might have one

katzguk · 30/11/2004 21:26

here you go argos:

bed1

bed2

there are about 5 other ones in argos just picked two to illustrate

Thomcat · 30/11/2004 21:33

Oh wicked, didn't know argos did beds, much cheaper than the cotswold company beds. Thanks for that mate.

Don't let that stop anyone else suggesting other places just cos katzguk came up trumps

silent night my first bed

twiglett · 30/11/2004 21:52

M&S M&S M&S .. excellent quality and they did have 20% off

twiglett · 30/11/2004 21:52

you have to be really careful with the cheapo beds TC .. the mattresses are shite

I bought one of those hideaways from M&S .. excellent can't fault it

Bought a cheaper one from John Lewis or Debenhams (can't remember which) and I HATE IT .. so uncomfortable

LIZS · 30/11/2004 21:53

Recent discussion here . Wonder if they've arrived yet ?

twiglett · 30/11/2004 21:54

Twiglett, went straight to M&S on the internet tonight but couldn't find anything. Couldn't agree more about the quality of bed/mattress. I'm doing alot of agreeing with you today

Hi...

The great little trading company does one I think.

Thomcat we have such a thing...a pine bed that has under it a bed that you can pull out and it is the same height as the bed...it was from M&S and would highly recommend it....was half price when we bought it £299 plus £70 for mattress but just think that you could spend £300 on a cot bed that would last for not that long...visit www.marksandspencer.co.uk and check out their beds...you wont be disappointed!

Thomcat · 30/11/2004 23:22

M&S comes highly reccommended by the looks of it.

My two both have the Argos ones and they are fab too - but I'm just a cheapskate

JanH · 01/12/2004 09:22

TC, Airsprung do a very nifty one that I always liked the look of - Argos used to do it but don't any more. It's called the Double Decker, 2 separate identical singles with curved head and footboards which stack - here . Of course you do have to physically lift the top one down when you need the bottom one which would be a challenge if you happened to be on your own at the time!

JanH · 01/12/2004 09:25

And while you're at the Mattress Man (love that name!), this is the full list of guest-type beds.

JanH · 01/12/2004 09:28

This Airsprung one looks good too, it has 2 full size mattresses (most of the tuck-under ones are a bit shorter)

SantaFio2 · 01/12/2004 09:35

oo a bed thread, i was going to start one too

i need a king size, iron bed, white and brass and traditional looking but not to fancy. Anyone know any good retailers? ikea is too far before thats suggested

TIA

twiglett · 01/12/2004 09:35

Oh don't be tempted to go for the smaller single (2'6) because it fits into an alcove ..it is just that touch too small to climb into bed with your child for a cuddle so IMHO its better to go for the standard 3' one (90cm I suppose) which is more than big enough for the 2 of you

JanH · 01/12/2004 09:52

How about this , fio (comes in white too).

I love the mattress man, can you tell?

SantaFio2 · 01/12/2004 09:54

thats really goodjan very reasonable too, i have a black one similar but it came from enchanted house and has a lifetime guarentee but I cant find their website

JanH · 01/12/2004 09:57

Enchanted House .

Anything else I can do for you while I'm here, moddom?
