Have got a parasol atm and its a pita as have to keep moving it depending on the sun angle so wanted something that blocked the sun a bit better!

Are the canopies any good? Have got a Maclaren Techno Classic buggy btw....

shade a babe is best protection, but that ray shade one looks great for less faff, iyswim.

winestain · 27/01/2008 17:29

Oooh. I have a protect a bub (rayshade) to sell if you are interested?

I'm Winestein with a subtle namechange by the way, not somone who has wandered on just to sell some stuff

bestignored · 27/01/2008 17:32

I've just got the shade a babe (not had chance to try it yet though . I chose it over the ray shade thing becuase the shade a babe can be used as a complete covering or a large hood so thought it more versatile than the ray shade one.

Friend of mine used the shade a babe last year with her very fair haired DD age 18m at the time and the DD didn't seem to mind about not having a clear view out (but then she is a placid little thing)

Winestain - ooh...what colour is it and how much?

winestain · 27/01/2008 22:08

It's black... and what's reasonable - had a quick look on Ebay where it was going to end up this summer and I reckon £10 delivered would be a pretty good bargain for a regular Mumsnetter. Comes with carry bag and if I scout round extra hard I know I have the destructions somewhere (not that it's rocket science....)

Bear in mind I have to find the blimmin thing (but I think it's in the front pocket of my Florida suitcase...)

PussinJimmyChoos · 27/01/2008 22:26

Oooh...would that include postage and packaging or... have you used it much or?

Can I also be at being referred to as a regular Mumsnetter! Finally! I have arrived!!

winestain · 27/01/2008 23:39

Includes the envelope and the stamp, yes!

Let's not get carried away though - don't hang any kudos on the back of my having noticed your name. I've been here since 2005 and I'm nobody I tell ya, nobody.

PussinJimmyChoos · 28/01/2008 15:25

Lol! Has it been used much btw? (discreet attempt to find out the condition!)

OP posts:
winestein · 28/01/2008 16:03

Right - I have it here in my sticky mitts (although I hasten to add any stickiness has not transferred onto the shade )

I used it every day the sun shone in summer in his first year, some in his second and hardly at all in his third (I took it to Florida but never used it as there was little chance of him sitting in his pushchair!) so all in all, with the British weather, it's seen the light of day about 5 times

Seriously though, I would say it is in very good condition (if I were to stick it on Ebay). I even have the original info it came with (found it!)

It's a bargain, trust me (I'm a regular!!! )

PussinJimmyChoos · 28/01/2008 16:06

Lol! Ok, you have a deal

How do we do this payment thingy then? First time I have ever done this via mumsnet...am a buying virgin....go gentle with me..!!!

winestein · 28/01/2008 16:19

Can we avoid Paypal? I resent them creaming so much off the top. Do you do online banking? Do you want to do a bank transfer or perhaps a cheque or something?

A few Mnetters know where I live, so you'll be safe!

PussinJimmyChoos · 28/01/2008 16:21

I can do an online bank transfer - much easier for me. Do you want to CAT me and then we can do the details and I can give you my address? Do we also need to provide feedback in the feedback threads after?

Well, that wasn't too bad...

winestein · 28/01/2008 16:30

Eeek. Need to renew my CAT (it probably lapsed 2 years ago or something!)
