Nice long-sleeved t-shirts for 18-24 month old boy - where from?

Don't want slogans, characters etc. Plain or stripey are fine. Must be purchaseable online.

Don't like what is on offer from Next, M&S, Boden.
John Lewis ones seem to shrink when washed/dried, and they only have a limited selection online in this size.
Nordic Kids stuff is a bit expensive IMO.

Where am I missing for this sort of thing?

Adams - also in other colours
Jako-o
American Apparel

Hennes (H&M) have always come up trumps. Don't know if they sell online though.

flowerybeanbag · 25/01/2008 13:56

Pumpkin Patch?

MuffinMclay · 25/01/2008 13:57

The Mothercare ones are OK. Do you know if their sizing is big or small, and if they stand up to lots of washing? Don't think I've ever had any clothes from there.

Can't get to supermarkets at the moment (under strict no walking until the baby comes out instructions).

They seem to come out OK in teh wash. Sizing tends to be on the small side - the 18-24 are fine for DS but he's 16mo (tho on the large side). Also, they were only £9 for three so I'm not worrying too much!

woodenchair · 25/01/2008 14:04

I saw some in Tesco yesterday, 3 for £4.50 I buy most of ds clothes from there any they alway wash nicely.

Sorry just read your no supermarkets post.

MuffinMclay · 25/01/2008 14:09

I like the Jako-o ones. Just need to work out the sizing.

Pumpkin patch stuff looks ok, but what an annoying website.

AGree H&M, they do niec plain ones - I bought DS 18months a red one and a black one the other day about £3 each, and they have the pop studs on one shoulder which I like, much easier to put on and take off.

accessorizemybaublessanta · 25/01/2008 21:21

Pumpkin Patch seem to stand up to the washing better than Mothercare imo (well at least the tops do).
Have you tried also: JoJoMamanbebe who always do striped tops & v.good quality.Organics for Kids do gorgeous striped l/s tops too, from various places including The Kids Window (who do a lot of brands, but awful website unfortunately). Organic clothing for boys generally seems nicer than what's on the high street, no loud slogans!

Thanks for those ideas. Will have a look now. I'd rather pay a bit more and get something that lasts well.

debenhams -their red herring, J for Jasper Conran and John Rocha ranges always have nice ones - I have also put long sleeved vests under shortsleeve t- shirts - it looks just like a layered one.

Shitemum · 27/01/2008 00:21

kidsshouldbekids do nice stripey ones

FOURBOYZ · 27/01/2008 00:45

H&M have got some nice long sleeved t-shirts. Their clothes can also be washed at 60 degrees and always wash up good...

MuffinMclay · 27/01/2008 15:21

Bought lots from JoJoMamanBebe today. Thank you for all the suggestions.

mothercare stuff shrinks horrendously! I always have to buy a size bigger to allow for shrinkage.

accessorizemybaublessanta · 27/01/2008 21:27

Yes, and they do go a bit boxy now I come to think of it (I don't have much left from ds1, whereas all the gap has lasted). I'm with you, muffin I'm buying fewer but better quality and they look better for longer.
