fio

SantaFio2 · 29/11/2004 16:38

seems the only place to buy a tree here is the 'fruit shop'

funny how you take places for granted though. i always knew the chase was beautiful but I really miss it now. Dont miss anything else about staffordshire. Dh misses festival park, I ask you?! When we moved down here though dh said "where will we get the christmas tree from?" LOL we are the weird family

luckymum · 29/11/2004 16:40

Fio, try a nursery or garden centre for tree.

SantaFio2 · 01/12/2004 12:56

cam, we did actually get it from the fruit shop yesterday and carried it home through town. it was bloody heavy! But it is a lovely tree and they are from the forestry commission, so i suppose at least we know it has just been chopped down from somewhere..

cam do you live nr st leonards on sea? is it nice

SantaFio2 · 01/12/2004 12:57

somewhere ok i mean, they plant 2 for every one chopped down

B&Q sell xmas tree stands for about £9.99

has to be a real tree .. for the smell and the look

RudolphCAM · 02/12/2004 14:04

Fio I live in Hastings Old Town and it has a certain seaside atmosphere.....impressed you carried a heavy and prickly tree

JuniperDropofbrandy · 03/12/2004 13:29

was just going to start a thread asking how much to water my tree but you beat me to it fairydust

I've just potted mine with pebbles from my drive and given it a good water but thought I'd check I was doing it right with those that know
