New clothing range called Little Sh** can't believe it

Can you believe anyone would call a clothing range for the ages 1-6 Little Shit? For boys only obviously.

Would complain, but they have said in their press release about the name that they don't care...oh well that's alright then!

You are all spared though - as I live in NZ

PMSL. I can't wait to see what response you get to that.

hunkermunker, very choice words. Do say what response you get.

Little S*s - loath it.

KateandtheGirls · 28/11/2004 13:02

Very funny hunkermunker!

I agree - what a horrible idea. I know it will never take off here in the US, because sh*t is a definite curse word here.

Also agree that the logo on the t-shirt looks uncomfortable like a swastika.

fairyfly · 28/11/2004 13:05

My dads a cockend has always been a t shirt i'm on the look out for

I just had to say

"...for parents that were dressed by their mothers..."

For a start "...who were...", but then thought

As opposed to...?

Just had a look at their website. see link below.

Yurtgirl the one you think looks like a swastika actually says NZ, which I suppose stands for New Zealand.

The clothes look OK - nothing special, which is why they have to draw attention to them by having an offensive name I suppose.

janeybops · 28/11/2004 22:29

Found the on line shop and it says;

As a continuation of their successful menswear range, liTTle broTher launches ?liTTle shiT?.

For boys aged 1-6 the collection includes t-shirts, shirts, sweats and hats using current fabrics and prints - miniature versions of popular styles - as well as new and unique prints.

An extension of the philosophy behind liTTle broTher, liTTle shiT will appeal to the current customer, many of whom are parents recalling their time as a child. The name ?liTTle shiT? is an affectionate term for those Dennis the Menace types.

As Murray Crane of liTTle broTher puts it ?It?s for all those parents that were dressed by their mothers, now?s their opportunity to get their revenge. We are definitely not concerned about reaction to the name?.

In true liTTle broTher style, liTTle shiT will be subtle and understated but make a statement about the child as well as their parents.

There will be a move away from the traditional kids colours of red, yellow and blue; liTTle shiT will feature more muted colours such as khaki, chocolate, ink and black.

The aim of the label is to provide high quality garments with ideas and inspiration that are not mass marketed or licensed. This is partly a reaction to the high volume of children?s wear sporting T.V characters, teddy bears and so on.

Sorry I think some of this is repeated from earlier.

warmmum · 28/11/2004 22:39

This company have no design talent, and presumably are scraping the barrel with their marketing ideas.

I hope it folds.

whatarelief · 28/11/2004 22:42

What an unpleasant man.

He could have made his point without getting personal, but obviously doesn't have the brain power.

But then again, this is the man that came up with the brand name in the first place.

[Deep sigh]

Murray seems a little defensive for someone who supposedly "doesn't care" what people think of the name.

What is subtle (or humourous come to that) about Little Shit. I'd love to know if he has children.

Considering sending a spoof letter suggesting that he buy my "company" which makes clothes for girls age 1-6. Working title "slaggy porno queen".

As for his amazing range of colours, it's a shame he hasn't read all the "why can't we dress our boys in nice bright colours?" threads.

What a fabulously stupid reply letter from Murry!

fairyfly · 29/11/2004 08:11

Oh my dear little man, humour and subtlety is present in the workings of my everyday life. Only this morning i laughed hysterically at a letter i recieved from a clothing company.

Something like that would do it i feel
