Please can anyone help me choose a trike for ds' 2nd birthday

I've narrowed it down to two but don't know which to get. They are both £29.99, both have a parent handle and look very similar.

This one from jjb sports says on the box (we went in to look at one today but they didn't have one out just a box) its for age 3-5.

This one from Toys r Us says from age 18-36 months. I think i prefer this one but the age range puts me off slightly.

Can anyone help me? Please

TIA

No one wants to help me

Another thing, he really loves In The Night Garden and i've seen an iggle piggle trike but someone advised me not to get a character one as kids go off things. Should i just go for one of the plain ones or the Iggle piggle one?

His birthday is only 3 week away.

Ah yes Likeabike, i've seen them too, at the prices though. Knowing ds we will def need the parent handle so we can control him

at 2, i dont think they can pedal, ds can't anyway, we bought him a radio flyer trike for his birthday, which he is just learning with, no parent handle.

my friend bought the monster one for her ds for xmas, he's also 2, the pedals dont turn if their feet are on it and it, so their legs dont get bashed, seemed ok for him.

Also bought ds a islabike rothan (balance bike) for xmas, which is fab and he really loves, he's learned to ride it very quickly. I'd really recomend it, but bit expensive though.

phoenix - best to get one with rubber tyres rather than plastic wheels, then it's quieter on the road.
I've got a radio flyer one but it's got a rubbish parent handle, the best one is a german make that I can't for the life of me think of at the minute. I think it's German, but I may have invented that in my head (you know what I'm like)...I'll try and find it.

Thanks GM

We've spent all day now looking at trikes, bikes, electric quads etc. and think we're gonna go for a normal bike (12") with stabilisers and just take him for walks in the park to get used to it rather than around the streets, while walking the dog, like we were originally planning. We've seen one in Toys r us that we like but its not on the website so i think we're gonna go back and get it some time this week.

Something i didn't realise is he has a trike at my mums so he'll still get to go on one.

Thanks for all your help.

The speed at which our little ones grow, your little one won't be using the Trike for too long. I would definietly recommend the parent handle it was a god sendfor me - even if you only use it to push it saves your back breaking bending down all the time.
