A specially designed heavy ornament that sits on the mantel piece and has a hook over hanging the edge.

I stick pins in mine (not a new one though)

SoupDragon · 25/11/2004 21:44

Well, not an ornament as such The one I've got is a heavy brass christmas tree.

\link{http://www.brassgallery.com/stockingholders/these} although mine is more tasteful and wasn't as expensive!

SoupDragon · 25/11/2004 21:46

SoupDragon · 25/11/2004 21:48

Ah, good old lakeland

whizzz · 25/11/2004 21:49

WOW - just what I wanted too !!
I've resisted the M&S Bargain thread but might just have to trawl Lakeland !!

fairydust · 25/11/2004 21:57

lakeland ones are perfect and a reasonable price as well thanks

has anyone used the lakeland stocking holders? Our mantlepiece is marble so the top bit is quite thin compared to the one in their picture. So I am wodnering if there would be anything to hook onto safely.

WhizzzYouAMerryXmas · 07/12/2004 18:56

They should be OK - I bought some Lakeland ones at the weekend & the shape of them means they hang quite nicely & shouldn't fall off even if you have a thin mantlepiece ! If its slippy a little blob of blu-tak may help but they seem quite a clever design
