Are you buying your dp/dh's family presents for Christmas?

Just wondering as I'm thinking of doing this. Going to buy dp's dad accessories for a digital camera he found on holiday. But bit stuck as to what to get dp's mum and brother. I was thinking of either buying some really fancy biscuits/chocolates or a bouqet of flowers/christmas plant.

Just wondering what other people were thinking of doing

Nothing. Because i do it every year and PAY for it ( for our 8 siblings, 8 partners and 22 nieces & nephews) and get NO appreciation from Dh. . Now i have no money as am on maternity leave. So he is doing it.

I always do it, have done since we first got together, all though I don't pay for them as I'm a non-earning SAHM.

We just buy for the children, not for my SIL/BIL and they do the same for us but we do get for my FIL (tea at the Ritz for him and his girlfriend this year).

I normally buy most of the presents and pay for most, but I earn more and DP never asks I just do because I enjoy it!

of course-is there another option

lavender2 · 24/11/2004 21:10

only buy for children relatives now as too expensive..

Me and DH buy both for both sets of parents and brothers/sisters. None have children of their own yet, but when that happens we will still buy for all. They all buy for both of us, and for DD.

Got PILs - freeview box
BIL and SIL - clothes each and bottle of champagne
My dad - DVD and CD
My mum - no idea yet
My brother - DVD
My sister - no idea yet, but it'll be an easier one

But we do have shared bank accouints, etc. so it's not as if I am buying alone for them.
