slow cooker - which one?

Can any of you slow-cooker fans recommend one for me? I love the idea of them but have heard that some can be dangerous, ie you can't leave them unsupervised... thanks!

Hi august24... I think I've finally made up my mind. Plastic lid, you say? No, thanks! But you can cook stews and things in the Tefal, right? You can fill it with veg, meat & stuff in the morning and come home to a cooked (and edible!) meal?
