Does anyone else get unreasonably droolsome at the thought of your dream saucepans? What really gets me going is imagining a cupboard full of le creuset in kiwi green.

My mum bought an entire set of Le Creuset (in 70s orange) at a car boot sale for £15.

Although I suppose with second hand saucepans I would always wonder if anyone had weed in them.

Indeed, broccoli, I wee in my pans all the time.

I bought my sister a set of 70s orange Le Creuset for her wedding present. I hope she didn't flog them at a car boot sale...

midnightexpress · 14/01/2008 21:00

Mmmmmmmmm teal

K20 · 14/01/2008 21:03

Le Creuset is just far too heavy when full of builing water, I used to have to balance mine on the edge of the sink and then pour, my poor wrists couldn't cope !

expatinscotland · 14/01/2008 21:03

how do you know the chap working in the Le Creuset factory didn't rub spunk on your new pans?

midnightexpress · 14/01/2008 21:13

expat! Ewwww.

K20, I use my cast-iron stuff for stews and soup and stuff that I don't need to pour down the sink (all being well).

Though I must say my circulon pan has rather ousted the Le Creuset in my favours of late.

I just got a set of Anthony Worrol-Thompson pans and I keep droolong over the 'copper based' set that was there (I do love my ones though) I think I may have to go back and get those too!

CountessDracula · 15/01/2008 09:58

lennygirl that is gross

AuraofDora · 15/01/2008 10:33

lennygirl..surely they were attempting to throw the wrong person out?
that is mega gross but i dont need to tell you that..
horror

le crueset should be approached as part upper body work out / part cooking utensil...
am lucky enough to have set purchased in great sale (£150 for 8 peices, classic blue mind you that was 10 years ago but still going strong!)

have been very lucky recently and have inherited professional pans huge thick bottomed mothers (sauce and frying pan, no lids !) via dh's works shut down canteen...and lots of bits and bobs too...

AuraofDora · 15/01/2008 13:13

was that too much porn for y'all?

bundle · 15/01/2008 13:17

and what about teal?

GetOrfMoiLand · 15/01/2008 13:21

I got a full set of Le Cresuet for Christmas, 3 pans, a grill, marmitout and 2 oven dishes

Asked DP for them, he grumbles that it was a stupid, practical present for Christmas, should have a dress blaablaa. My argument was that I can buy my own dresses but I can't justify spending all that money on pans (kind of lied about how expensive the pans were, would have liked to have seen his face in the kitchen shop )

Asked for the powder blue ones (swoon) but DP, being DP, forgot and got mne the orange ones.

They are beautiful

GetOrfMoiLand · 15/01/2008 13:22

now have read the rest of the thread and wondering about people spunking and peeing in the pans.

Blimey

BroccoliSpears · 15/01/2008 20:13

Teal is awesome. I think I'd like a mix of different colours. I don't like matching sets of things. Kiwi and teal and orange would be fab... and a satin black milk pan...
