Graco Quattro Tour Duo - I know it's new but anyone have an opinion??

I've just seen the new Graco Quattro Tour Duo pushchair and am considering it but am concerned at how small it would fold - I need it to fit in the back of a ford galaxy with all seven seats up, so minimum space to have it up on it's side if you know what I mean?!

I know it's a new and a long shot whwther anyone has any experience with one yet but worth a try!!!

I'd be interested to know this too, as I'm thinking of getting one and I also have a galaxy and all seven seats are in use!

I don't know if it helps at all but I currently have a Graco Stadium Duo and I can fit that in the boot with the front hood and tray taken off, with all the seats in use.

Hiya, I have looked at it in Kiddicare recently - I couldn't lift it! It is so heavy, honestly I don't know how it would push with two children in it. Looks wise its great, and isn't that long, unlike the stadium duo. The weight really put me off.

just purchased one, i dont find it heavy, it manouvres great, bumps up kerbs and if you have experienced a side-by-side double you will innitially find it heavier as weight is all in front of you instead of across. it fits easily into my peugeot 807 with all 7 seats in and i have been told its a bit smaller than the stadium with a good compact fold. easy to open and clse, even with one hand, it looks great and is overall a great pushchair for the price. i have had a firstwheels city twin, a mamas and papas twin aria and a cossato duet lite (which really was heavy with awfull steering), so i give this one 10 out of 10.

PS... toysrus have them for £219.00 at moment, comes in graphite/black with raincover, two footmuff/cosytoes which are velvety inside and a head hugger, found it was out of stock online but rang my nearest branch and they had one in stock, result! T-R-U are definately the cheapest at the moment compared to argos, boots and many online stores selling at £259, some coming with APRONS instead of cosytoes so beware, tried to pricematch with precious little ones website but they wernt interested, so worth trying T-R-U first.

Thanks a lot suzfw, that's really helpful. It really was how narrow it folded that I was concerned about cause of the narrow space when all 7 seats are up.

Seen the online offer at T r U, will try and make my mind up now!?
Thanks a lot.

its bloody heavy and chunky as well- its bigger than the single quattro tour when folded- so roughly the same size as the stadium duo.

get down to TRU and ask to try it in the car if they have one- and see if you can happily lugg it about?

suzfw · 27/01/2008 01:08

t-r-u will let you try in car as they have a shop floor tester for you to try,it lloks longer than it is when standing at the controls and in all honesty it isnt the lightest pushchair to lift in and out of car when folded, but if it was really light and plasticky some would question its quality, it is a good sturdy metal framed pushchair with twice the capacity of a single graco quattro so its bound to be heavier to lift. I now personally believe there isnt a PERFECT pushchair on the market, they all have plus's and minuses, its just about finding the one which ticks the most boxes for your own personal needs, ie.... i can quite happily live with an extra bit of a "heave" in and out of the back of my car if i can get in and out of doorways, up and down busy narrow shopping aisles and "spin on a penny" if i need to, having two happy children who enjoy the comfy ride!
