DillyDally · 23/11/2004 16:36

Who wouldnt want fresh sprouts
If only I had a garden.

fairyfly · 23/11/2004 16:36

So your not getting two but fio is getting one i have brought one but not for me but i want one. Thats all cleared up now.
Still want to know if anyone has one though and likes it. What a desperate thread.

OP posts:
fairyfly · 23/11/2004 16:39

DillyDally you don't need a garden, thats the beauty. Your making me feel like my mum is going to throw it at me, i thought it was great. Obviously not, but your post made me giggle.

OP posts:
SantaFio2 · 23/11/2004 16:40

does your mum like mung beans?

DillyDally · 23/11/2004 16:41

I have a mental image of your ma throwing a sprouting germinator at you in a fit of pique
I love Christmas.

fairyfly · 23/11/2004 16:43

I don't know if she likes mung beans. But she loves seeds, grains, salads, pulses , doesn't eat wheat or dairy and prays a lot.

OP posts:
DillyDally · 23/11/2004 16:44

Stop Making me laugh!
Why are mung beans and praying compatible?
Unless she is praying for a germinator?

fairyfly · 23/11/2004 16:48

Perhaps thats why i brought it because now im wondering wtf came over me

OP posts:
DillyDally · 23/11/2004 16:52

Am sure she will love it
I am only joking

fairyfly · 23/11/2004 16:57

I'll let you know what happens, i know your joking don't worry so am i. i have a very piss taking family so its good preperation for when they see it.

OP posts:
SantaFio2 · 23/11/2004 17:06

could i grow runner beans in it?

fairyfly · 23/11/2004 17:14

no, cress i think, and shoots

OP posts:
SantaFio2 · 23/11/2004 17:15

oo cress, i might get one

are mung beans the same as beansprouts?

fairyfly · 23/11/2004 17:16

I have no idea, but what a lovely though, im sure a beansprout machine would be very versatile in the kitchen for all the family stirfrys
