Can anyone tell me if there is such a thing? Or if you had the same problem, i.e. Sitting at bench seat at table but too low, how you overcame it. I would be very grateful, as ds is currently sitting on a cushion on chair, but i'd like for him to be able to sit on the bench instead.

we've got a safety first inflatable booster seat which can be easily folded and taken when we go anywhere. The straps go underneath and around the back of a chair but I guess you could just strap it underneath if it was a bench.

I'm sure I've seen a chair that the arms screw onto the top and bottom of the table top - somewhere like B. Marvellous or GLTrading etc.

This may sound a daft question but does the bench have a back to it? If so, the Handysitt or Litaf Hang n Seat would be best, the inflatable boosters have straps that need to go underneath the chair seat so wouldnt work on a bench. If it doesn't have a back, I can't think of anything!

Assuming it has a back try this

MrsBadger · 09/01/2008 12:19

this has a non-slip bottom but I can't find a uk stockist atm

ComeOVeneer · 09/01/2008 12:19

Out of stock at amazon but try here.

Hi all, thanks for your responses :-) no, the bench does not have a back to it, hence my problem. I cannot access the links at the mo as i'm on my phone, but will have a look later.

we use that blow up foldable seat talked about...

it wont work on bench seat without a back, i wouldnt imagine.

i cant think of an answer to having a baby on a bench seat...

i think a seat at the end of the table may be the only way forward...

OR www.katiesplaypen.co.uk/quick-ajust-table-seat-p-1746.html

OR my nanny friend has a 'tomy' booster seat for her charge....(i have googled it to death but even find 1 link, sorry) it folds in half and the arms come off to fold up, and click back on again, i would imagine you could get a webbing wratched strap and put the webbing the 'other' way right over the seat bit AND under bench and do it up REALLY tight... that might work?

Hello all, thanks again for replying. We did have a table chair and it was fab, but sadly ds has now outgrown it. He can stay on the chair, but i wanted him to be able to sit on the bench for a few reasons. 1. The chair was mega expensive, and no matter how we try to cover it, he always seems to get something on the cover. 2. The chair is at the head of the table, and thats my place . 3. He prefers to sit next to us on the bench, well his dad anyway, and eats better there.
he does already use the bench when its just him eating.

I think the yellow pages one looks ideal, if we can't get one that straps in. The dollar exchange rate is good at the mo, i might enquire to see how much to ship it here :-)

Argh..... so I've been trying like mad to get one of these yellow pages booster seats and they can't sell them here due to intellectual property rights. they're only available in the US/Canada. I found one store in the US, who will ship to the uk but they want 66 dollars to ship it, which makes it a very expensive piece of foam!
so, anyone else know of another one? or if you live in the US, would you ship it to me, if i ordered it?

Hi all,

I found a funky foam booster at Great Little Trading Company. I havn't tried one yet but I'm going to order two, looks good. The code is G0774, it comes in pink or black, is wipe clean, can fit on a chair with no back and has no straps, its £30.00 Ideal for children who are a little big for a highchair. I have also used high density foam cut to size, but obviously this is not wipe-clean! Google Funky Foam Booster to find it!
