Car seats - Anyone know if you can still get "anchors" installed in your car?

I have an ancient Jag which I love dearly. I am pg with child #3 and though there is space in the back for two car seats and my teenager, I only have a lap belt in the middle.

I know I can get a Britax seat which can be tethered just using a lap belt, (and that's prob safer than putting the teen in the middle), but it just doesn't seem safe - surely the top of the seat would move forward in a crash?

Years ago, before seat belts were compulsory in the back, you used to be able to have webbing straps and anchors installed in your car for child seats. Does anyone know if you can still get these (can't find any reference online) and if so, do modern car seats attach safely to them?

Really don't want to change my lovely old car...

I have no idea but you might have to change your car.

If the lap belt is tight enough it works fine: the L of the child seat is pulled hard into the L of the adult seat. The back doesn't move forward because the front can't move down.

That's why I have a Britax Club Class: it can be held in with just about any seat belt.

Yes, these days the system is called Isofix. If you take it to your jag dealer they should be able to advise you whethere they can fit them in your car.
