I have previously had a M&P 3in1 Ultima which I was very happy with, with DD2 I opted for a M&P Pliko P3 which I wasn't as pleased with. Now pregnant with DC3 and need to look into what to get next .....
I hate the idea of having a double buggy so I will be getting DD2 a lightweight Maclaren pushchair or the like

Hmm. Mountain buggy is very popular but very expensive!!

How is dd2 btw?

I'm going for a P&T's I'm afraid, a lot of £'s I know but when you have 3 under 5 it's hard enough.

DD2 will be 2.6yo when this one is born and I will still need a double as I don't think I can cope with her, DD1 and a baby. She is also a runner like DD1 was.

The thing I like about the P&T's is that it goes from single to double and effectively we can have a single with a little seat for DD2 if she (or I) need it. Also will be keeping it very clean as hopefully will be able to sell it on and make back some of the money spent.

Tell me more about P&T's Sweetkitty ?

they're brill and i'm having one if i wind uyp with 2 babies with eldest still needing the odd buggy ride !
(only have 1 at the mo)

She's talking about the Phil and Teds BTW, mothercare sell them

sweetkitty · 04/01/2008 21:49

foghorn - goggle Phil and Teds Sport, have a mooch on ebay or mothercare or read the reviews on here about them.

I should have got one for the DDs but DP presuaded me to get a Twin Aria (argh it was useless) also had a Graco tnadem for a bit (better than the Aria but still rubbish).

I told him this time no Phil and Teds no baby.

I know DD1 will be just turned 4 when DB3 arrives but what age is your DD2? She's a bit younger than my DD2 isn't she?

Did look at the Mutsy Urban Rider with Duo seat but it's so expensive and someone said v heavy.

Ideally I want a "nice" pram that can be single or a double, with a bit for a newborn and a toddler, then a spare seat for strapping in a tired toddler.

I know such a pram doesn't exist but P&T's seems to be the next best thing.

Nemoandthefishes · 04/01/2008 23:03

out of all doubles I looked at for convenience etc p+t was the best for us. Narrow to fit through our super narrow door way. Double seat is ok but a bit crap for falling asleep in however this has been rectified on new models. DDs both seem to like it although as dd2 has got older think she get s alittle bit bored in the back.
Storage is at a minimum but can fit a couple of 4 pints of milk loaf of bread and couple of tins in basket with doubles seat on and in use.

HATRICK - if you see this, please could you come back and tell me in more detail how the nipper is better than the P&T

we're having no 3 in June when dd will be 20 months and have narrowed it down (pretty much!) to these 2.

re nipper - does your have front swivel wheel?

Thanks!

hatrick, that's very helpful, thank you

i had thought I'd have a P&T for sure, but I want to buy second hand and I'm astonished at how much they are. the more I've looked into it, the more the nipper is growing on me.

so you don't mind not having a front swivel wheel?
