Had one for almost 10 years and it is fine , if lightly used, was about £100

WingsofanAngel · 02/01/2008 13:38

I've had one in the past,my mum has it now. Always found it excellent and must be a least four years old now. Mine had the reverse action on it and two heat settings.

ScoobyDoo · 02/01/2008 13:39

Yes have had mine for 2 years it was about £120 & it is great, really recommend it.

Loshad · 02/01/2008 13:39

had mine ages, have four children (who were in reusable nappies, though that was 5 years ago now), also wash entire rugby teams of jumpers and it still keeps going. also are made in Yorkshire (good thing imo)

Just had a new one for Christmas.
THe old one was many years old and not new when I was given it.
Well worth the 100 pound any day.

Bubbaloo · 02/01/2008 15:16

I have one, have it on nearly every day at the moment and it's great.

nannyL · 02/01/2008 15:53

i have one

i dont really use it just because i prefer to line dry my stuff but i use it in emergancies, and to make towels fluffy

its fine

MY best friend has one, shes uses hers ALL the time (at least once a day) and she loves hers too

brimfull · 02/01/2008 16:38

have just ordered this one arriving tuesday.

nanny,do you still line dry on cold winter days?

I feel guilty using dryer but can't bear clothes all over the house drying.

yes i do

i have a really high washing line (as high as the bottom of roof of my house) It catches all the wind and sunshine

have washed and DRIED all my bedding today... (and towels and jeans and lots of clothes etc)

it was hung out at 9.30ish and came in almost bone dry (just a bit cold and 1.30)

I find in the winter it needs to be in by about 3pm otherwise it gets sort of evening damp again)

ALL of my neighbours had their bedding on their washing lives today as well

its all in the airing cupboard at the moment, probably bone dry by now if i check, but will definitely be bone dry by the morning

brimfull · 02/01/2008 17:00

you put me to shame

will try harder

lol

have just checked my airing cupboard...

my jeans are still slightly damp, the rest is bone dry...

this is the 2nd winter in my house and in the 19 months i have been here i have only dried 4 loads of washing on my indoor washing line airer type thing

i normally find a few hours where i can get stuff dry on the line IE when it isnt raining...

Im sure if i had a rotary line stuff wouldnt be nearly so dry. One windy days things dry in just a few hours!

BUT is is only me here... if i had an OH and chidlren and all their washing to do as well i think there may have been many more times when there was just too much rain for too many days in a row to dry nearly everything outside!

pukkapatch · 02/01/2008 17:18

yes. ive had mine for third year now. and i am perfectly happy with mine.
bf had hers for years. when it died, she replaced it with a miele. and she hates it.
