Oil filled radiator, can anyone recommend one?

Dd's bedroom is freezing, even with the central heating on her room is cold as the radiator doesn't seem to give out enough heat and the room faces north right on the corner of the building and is always just cold.

We've now noticed a musty damp smell coming from one corner and have been told that it's to do with condensation. I want to buy one of these oil filled radiators to try and heat the room up a bit, will also be moving furniture away from the wall where the smell is in the hopes that it warms the room up and helps with the smell.

Does anyone have one of these heaters? are they expensive to run? do they chuck out shedloads of heat? will it help to make the musty smell go away?

advice appreciated before I go and buy one and find it's a waste of money, thanks

Hi and Happy New year,
We have used several of these over the years.
The Italian brand DeLonghi earlier, and more recently the US brand Honeywell (Kmart or Walmart) are about $38 to $70 each (size and features). They are all on wheels, too!
The newer ones can have remote controls, and timers, and have multiple heat settings. We have never had the least problem with any of them. They are TOUGH and work great! It can save you money putting heat only where you need iut and when you need it, keeping the thermostat set at 60 to 64 degrees as Atlanta Gas Light recommends, and using the oil filled radiator where and when needed!
It will get hot to the touch, so make sure babies and children cannot come in contact with the unit!

We've got the DeLonghi Bambino oil filled heater for DS's room. John Lewis website says it's out of stock but may have more luck instore?

His room is v cold in winter too as it's on the corner of the house. It works a treat, isn't too large, never feels too hot to touch (don't have it turned up to maximum tho') but keeps the room at a constant temp of around 19 degrees. Could be a lot hotter but that's fine for him It has a thermostat. You just need to play around with the heat level the 1st night to get the temp you want for the room.

No idea how expensive it is to run Less than a fan heater I would've thought!
