I have addled my brain by looking at different pushchairs online and can not find one that suits me perfectly.
So can anyone recommend a single pushchair that has any of hte following and is very good quality.

1 pneumatic tyres that give a comfy ride and don't puncture easily

2 a large shopping basket that is easily accessible

3 a reclining backrest that can be reclined one handed

4 suitable for older toddlers, around 4 yrs

5 narrow enough to fit through shop doorways

6 hand brake

7 front wheel can be swivel and fixed

It's a long list but I havent really spotted a good all rounder yet

Jane Slalom pro maybe? The nomad pro is good too but a 4 wheeler.

The new Britax 3+ looks interesting too but not sure how it reclines.

THe slalom pro does look good, if a little pricey and ive hada powertwin before so i know where i am with a jane.
I havent looked at the other one though. Will take a look, thanks.

A really obvious one but have you looked at the Mothercare Urban Detour?

We have had a fair few pushchairs as none have really suited us. Admittedly we have only had our Urban Detour for a month now but it's really rather good. Ours is the extreme 3 model (there seems to be many different permutations about second hand!)

DD2 thinks it is very comfy and will actually fall alseep in it (never sone that in the others we have had).

The shopping basket isn't a bad size, it's not huge but there are several other pockets which are quite handy - one actually holds the raincover if you want it to.

The backrest can be reclined one handed - it's just a clip.

My DD1 is nearly 4 and can fit in it easily (then refuses to get out)

It's really narrow - much more than it looks and fits through doorways easily and turns very easily.

No hand brake, I'm used to having one on a three wheeler as it is pretty hilly around these parts but not been a real problem so far.

Front wheel is swivel or fixed easily.

Yes, i was looking at those ones. They do seem to be closer to what i need. I don't want to make a mistake and buy something that i can't really use. I bought a cosatto duet lite last year and it was dreadful. A wheel got punctured after a week as well, not good.

I know what you mean. Not easy explaining to my DH that new expensive pushchair I had just bought was actually rather crap once you had to use it .

We got our Urban Detour on ebay. It has hardly been used (bought from pushchair addict) but we only paid £80 for it with car seat. If you go down the second hand route then be warned that the raincover is £34 new from mothercare so try to get one which comes with a raincover included. The raincover seems really good too, a good combination of not too claustrophobic for LO but not too huge to get in the way when steering. The footmuff is a bit small for older ones I think so I'm going to go for a buggy snuggle instead.
