I want to get a new mobile for my mum at the moment she has Dnephews old one Nokia 3310 {I think}

I want a very simple easy to use one.

That is quite light to go in a pocket

DH and I have always had erricssons and have T68i each but that is much too complecated for her

She needs a very easy menu. She will only use it when she is out and needs a taxi or gets into a problem IYSWIM.

TIA

I think nokias are the easiest to use. Get the updated version of the 3310, it'll be familiar to her then. I wouldn't recommend a motorola - I got one and although it's a decent phone it's a pain in the bum to use. I've gone back to my old nokia now.

IS that the 3330?

It really has to be simple

Even getting a phone number from the phone book causes confusion

I have put it all on a card to go next to the phone but I would like it to be light for her to carry too.

A friend has a samsung flippy phone that is incredibly light. It feels like a toy! I think it's quite easy to use too.

i have a SAGEM myC2-2
its a light flip phone and very easy to use! only £49 PAYG form carphone warehouse!

JoolsToo · 16/11/2004 13:30

my colleague has just a 'pay as you go' from Amazon - I've never heard of the make - but it looks pretty good for £20!

Ailsa · 16/11/2004 13:46

KangaMummy, the 3330 is the 3310, the only difference being that the 3330 is WAP enabled. DH and I had these as part of a deal but didn't want WAP so had it disabled.

I've got a crappy, light, painfully simple to use Pay As You Go from Tesco mobile, by a company called SENDO. I say 'crappy' as it has little or no features aside from colour display and polyphonics, and v basic internet. The manu functions are VERY simple to use and there aren't loads of them. It was about £40. Very light and small, although I did find the buttons very fiddly initially as they are v small and close together.

Thanks guys

I didn't realise about 3330 she deffo does not need WAP

So Sagem is really easy and simple menu is it?

Will look into them

Any more ideas anyone so I will have a choice.

Thanks

I've got a siemens A50. Its very easy to use and light enough without being too light. It was £45 (I think) from carphone warehouse online.

NomDePlume · 16/11/2004 14:40

I'm not sure, will look it up for you. It's SENDO not Sagem, btw

NomDePlume · 16/11/2004 14:46

Sendo S325 .

P.S. Don't listen to the 'never get bored' blub, this is a basic, decent quality phone.

nightowl · 17/11/2004 01:33
