Baby Monitors

Hi we've got a tomy baby monitor. we've like to get another really so that we can use one parent unit to listen in on 2 baby units. I know of loads of people who have complained about interference and picking up on neighbours monitors etc. Just wondered how easy this is as its actually what I want to do (not the neighbours one obviously ) - has anyone else bought an extra set to use with one they've got? Does it have to be the same brand and model? Got my eye on a digital one but not sure if it works the same way.

Thanks
Katherine

dont know the answer to your question but....... sad mum who just loves her new monitor

decided to buy a second monitor (as didnt know you could get one with two listening ends) and went for the BT one as it was highly rated in pregnancy or junior magazine, have to say it is fabulous, optionally battery operated both ends so last week babe fell asleep in car and just popped the listening end in the car till he stirred, range is a whopping 300m great if big garden or neighbours etc and it is crystal clear and has talk back streets and streets ahead of the (i used to swear by mine) crackly Tomy

good luck !!! HTH

Thanks - can you interchange the ends at all. I'e listen with your tomy to the BT one?

I'm thinking of using mine in the car too.

we've got a tomy walkabout classic monitor. It was my sisters and is about 7 years old. It's great. brill. fab. Had the same problem when ds was born last year. We opted to get a newer Tomy walkabout digital monitor since they should be compatible. We have no problem with interference, or with picking up the neighbours/local taxi firms, but the digital one is very tempremental and the out of range light flashes frequently even though the parents unit is immediately below the one in my daughters room! We were advised to telephone Tomy (there number is on the outside of the monitor boxes) and ask their advice
