gro-bags for winter

has anyone seen gro-bags with long sleeves on them?
My ds wouldn't stay under a blanket and I'm concerned that in the depths of winter his arms/hands will get cold in his gro-bag.
or maybe I should get my mil to make me some to popper on to the arms holes.

I saw somewhere a couple of years ago, they had zips around the arms so they were detachable. if I'm not mistaken, they were advertised on the back of a parenting magazine (where they have all those adverts), but couldn't tell you the name of teh company or price. i seem to remember they were a cream/beige colour.

yes, they deffinetly exist but they must be rare to find. I'm sorry i didn't have more specific information. At the time when i was looking for them (for the same reason as you) I didn't in the end buy them because I thought they were expensive (don't know why as I can't remember the exact price) so I got a normal grobag and DD was absolutely fine in it wearing a long sleeved pyjama top underneath.

Our house isn't the warmest but if I put ds in a fluffy pjs his feet sweat but his arms are warm - but if i put him in a cotton pj his feet are ok - but his arms feel chilly.
I shall comission my mil to do me some sleeves and maybe a collar thingy to come up round the back of his neck.

You could try putting a long sleeved vest on underneath whatever else he's wearing. This should keep his top half warm without his bottom half getting overheated....

Urchin do them, I think. About £50 IRRC, but it's actually two sleeping bags in one, there's a zip-out sleevless liner which menas you actually get a lightweight bag, a mediumweight bag and a heavyweight bag. We've got one - sorry I can't remember where we got it from - but oddly enough have never used the sleeves. Alternatively you could just put a cardie on, over or under the bag you've already got.
