Has anyone got this toy ? It looks nice but not sure it would actually be played with. Any info gratefully received in the search for the perfect Xmas present for 2 year old DD2.TIA

never had this one, but have givin this make (diggers and things) to lots of 2/3 year old boys for nice robust presents - have been fab
zephyrcat · 11/11/2004 14:17
never seen it - have you got a link to a page for it? sounds like something dd might love!
oswald · 11/11/2004 14:34
Tried to do a link but I'm crap and I cant but have a look on mailorderexpressdotcom and put in name of toy - what do you think , maybe 2 is a bit old now for this I cant decide.

I wrote about them for a catalogue once and they looked lovely. Would think they''d be better for a younger child personally.
If you've got the Urchin catalogue they do a lovely wooden flower set which has been a massive success - you make a little wooden garden with flowers and bees (by slotting it all together) - very good for that age group.

Thanks for that tip enid - it's definitely worth considering - the only thing that puts me off is having to pick up all the bits! How old is/are your kid/s that play with it ?
oswald · 12/11/2004 07:50
bump for enid - if you're around could you tell me a bit more about this toy ie questions below, any info gratefully received.I will find something she'll like!
enid · 16/11/2004 11:26
sorry, only just seen this.
My dd2 is 2 and LOVES it but so does my 4 year old! Yes, there are bits and they roll away but I keep the whole thing in a plastic Ikea box with lid which contains it slightly.
Would recommend. The bits fit onto wooden sticks, its easy but they really feel like they are making something.
oswald · 16/11/2004 19:20
Thanks enid that sounds perfect and I have a 2 and 4 year old so anything that promotes playing together sounds like a good thing.

Oh well then, you need Olives Garden !! Loads more bits and a bit old for them really but its the thing my two love so much - fiddly plastic bits that you thread onto plastic sticks to make flowers and 'plant' into polystyrene 'ground' - they both LOVE it!
