birthday gift for 3yr old

I have no idea what to buy my dd for her 3rd birthday - she already has all the usual big toys eg . bike, scooter, dolls pram, cooker etc. She does not really show much interest in dolls or soft toys and she already has lots of crafts materials. Does anyone have any ideas?

We've just had dd's 3rd birthday and bought her some Duplo lego which she loves. She also got some from relatives who had asked what to buy. I didn't go overboard with stuff for her because she's still at the stage where a bottle of bubbles is as exciting (if not more so) than something huge.
Other popular presents were some dressing-up outfits and some ELC Soft Stuff hairdressing things (sounds odd, but if you've seen it in there you'll know what I mean !)

How about one of those casette players with microphone from the Early Learning Ctr. You can buy her a tape to go with it (the "Never Smile At A Crocodile" one is quite good). I think at 3 yrs they're at the stage where they love to put in/take out tapes and experiment with the different buttons and sing into the microphone. Ds is just about 3 and he quite likes his.

What about a Tomy MegaSketcher - they can be creative without the mess and they seem to last forever - and I think they've just brought one out with sounds too.
Or perhaps a traditional dolls house which you could add to in years to come.
