I bought two 5 years ago, still going strong, no problems with it at all. Would definitely go there again, especially with their interest free credit.

i can only praise them tbh- they delivered the sofas 4 weeks early- delivered and assembled with no mess or packaging left behind- brilliant and oh so comfy for my poor preggy bones

We have bought three in the last 4 years and they are all fine. I know that you can get prettier designs from more expensive places, but we didn't have much money and tbh I am pretty much unaware of my surroundings, so the fact that my sofas are very ordinary doens't bother me

I actually think some of their designs are quite stylish, I was very pleasantly surprised when we went to look. I wasn't expecting to find anything that we liked but, as I said, bought two.

We have two lovely sofas from them. However they did take an awful long time (eg about 3 months) to be delievered - and then could only deliver on a specific date - they don't have a warehouse they can store them in once they are ready.
We have had minor problems with each one since we bought them a year ago. But I can't fault the after-sales service; both fixed almost immediately (in our house) after calling up about the problem.

Ah, I will be the one with the settee that fell apart.
Had to replace it after four years. May have just been a friday afternoon one but I wouldn't buy from them again.

millie76 · 27/11/2007 18:31

I've had mine for about four years. Delivery was quick and pain free, and the interest free credit was a big bonus!!

Its still fab now - a tiny tear in the fabric, but thats on a seam so is stitchable, and I do remove the covers and wash in the machine, even though you're not supposed to, so thats probabaly why!

Ikea is better IMO. We have a dfs one because we know we wouldn't be in the flat for long and we hadn't seen one we liked in Ikea, but it's not very comfortable and the seat got quite saggy within a year or so.

We have a small Ikea sofa in ds's room that was one of a pair in our sitting room in the last house and although the fabric is a bit worn at the edges it's still sturdy and comfortable (that's 6 years hard use in the previous house and about 5 years in a bedroom).

santascRUMPELedsuit · 27/11/2007 18:46

We bought one and it was rubbish - went all saggy and knackered in about a year. 2 of my friends bought from there too and would not recommend them again either. Have recently bought one from land of Leather and it is fab! early days yet though.

bran · 27/11/2007 18:47

Oh and they were immensely difficult about delivery. When we bought it I said to the saleswoman that it would have to be delivered on a Wednesday and she said it wouldn't be a problem. Turns out it was, and the delivery co-ordinator thought it was my problem.

Blandmum · 27/11/2007 18:49

I have a cousin who bought one and regretted it. Calls them 'Dear Fucking Sofas'

anorak · 27/11/2007 18:51

I bought a suite from them about 5 years ago and it's still lovely. Wait till January and get it cheaper in the sale.

jo25 · 27/11/2007 18:52

Mine fell apart to, brought ours 4 years ago and got rid of it earlier this year, in that time we had to have it re filled twice and had numerous problems with getting DFS to take responsability for it. Paid extra for scotch guard and IMHO it wasn't worth the money. Now we have one we found from a show home and it is much much better, its comfy and esy to amintain and didn't cost anything like the one from DFS (over £1000). We would not go back there again.

Lizzzombie · 27/11/2007 18:55

I have one, got it earlier this year. 4 years intrest free credit - fab! Its about £18 a month. (and its a sofa bed)
Only draw back was that when we went to choose one, there are not as many to choose from as you would expect. In fact, the one we got was the only one which we would have considered. All the others were a bit 'overly designed'.

ChristmasShinySnowflakes · 27/11/2007 18:57

Have a friend who had an absolute nightmare getting hers delivered. They changed the date several times which meant lots of time off work.....
