Hiya all

Its DD's first xmas and I was thinking of getting her a baby walker - you know the ones they sit in and whizz around in and have toys around them.

Any comments?

(She is 4 months at the mo is also getting some other stuff for now - I thought a baby walker is a good pressie that she can use between now and next xmas!

we were given one of the middle-of-the-range mothercare ones - it has survived two of friend's children and two of mine

it can be dismantled and washed and also folded totally flat, i don't know if they all do this, so check it out

would never have bought one but i am converted, they are great. good idea!!

i dont like baby walkers

so we bought the leapfrog learn n groove station it turns within itself and is fully washable and fols flat mt dd loved it and it lasted her til she was 12 months and could walk by which time she walked rond it and played with it

just imho i think its a lot of safer than a baby walker as they cant zoom around but thats just me

i had a baby walker for ds1 and although it was fine he wanted to be everywhere so had to watch him. for ds2 we bought a graco one that stands still and turns round in itself. loads of activities and i have found a lot more useful as since he has become more active can pop him in for 10 mins while I do a couple of bits. hth

My recommendation is that you buy her something better.

I would n't bother. Spend your money on something which will have longer use.

We've got one on loan for DS3, he's been using it for about 1 month now (just turned 6 months as we speak) and loves it. I think it's a Graco, has 3 height settings, a very useful tray and folds flat too.

Didn't have one for DS2 or 1 and wish I had./
