dd is most in love with a tub of animals like the ones the ELC sell for a fiver...

Duplo - keeps son busy for ages..................
He's 23 months and it has kept him 'busy' for five months already.

little people? my DS is 20 months and have asked family to get the bus thingy. he pretty much likes anything he can push along! (to go in his neat orderly fashioned cars/trucks.

still has a thing for blocks as well so he's got a packet of the wooden building blocks from asda.

how about also actually H is buying for DS (I think??) a thomas from woolies is about £10 it's wooden (I think again) but it's magnetic so they can take it apart and put it together again 0 apparently it's from 18 months but thought DS would love it as he likes thomas and doing things that fit together.

is duplo better than cheapo lego bricks, annwoo? we were given a bag of crappy cheap ones and dd can't put them together. does it being duplo make a difference?

DavidTennantsMistress · 25/11/2007 13:13

don't think so does it DS has the mega blocks stuff which he seems to like. (althou he's not as keen on lego at the mo hoping it comes full circle again if I take it away for a while - i'm a wicked mother who rotates her child's toys so he doesn't get bored and thing's he has new ones when really they're old but were in the cupboard!)

Flamesparrow · 25/11/2007 13:14

He tends not to touch the duplo we already have, a whole town of little people already from DD

Going to go investigate the woolies site, the train sounds good

Are you talking about those huge bricks? Or actual lego (which is a bit too small for ds to manipulate) Duplo wins hands down, they have to be shown how to use them, but once they get the hang of it .....

Aitch · 25/11/2007 13:16

i may get them out this arvo and see. i find them a bit frustrating to put together... if she can't manage today they're off to oxfam and i'll get her mega-blocks or duplo.

Aitch · 25/11/2007 13:16

huge bricks, annwoo.

DavidTennantsMistress · 25/11/2007 13:17

it's in the book 2 secs i'll get the code for you. 304012630, it's 12.99 actually.

annwoo · 25/11/2007 13:18

Just have bricks, trainset and few people. He will spend ages putting bricks onto the trains in different formations.

Flamesparrow · 25/11/2007 13:21

Decided on wooden train set (Looking at the magnetic thomas led on to looking at thomas train set and then moved on to wooden ones )
