Wheeled Board and Sling

Anyone have any observations about buying a Bugaboo wheeled board? I am trying to get a second-hand one incase DD doesn't take to it.

Also, with baby number 2 on the way, I'm thinking a baby sling might be a good idea. Any thoughts / recommended brands.

Thanks

have both
how tall is the child on the buggyboard? and does your bugaboo have extending hadles?

slings ooooh
now I have a Coorie which is fab for early days and quick trips and a close baby carrier which I adore now ds is 8 mths

I have a front carrier for when the baby is older. Just thought a sling would be more suitable for a tiny one.

My toddler will be 2 when the baby is born - at current rate of growth - about 85cm. And yes we have a Cameleon with extendable handle...

okies dd has used BB from about 90cms and we have found it damned awkward with the carrycot on and next to useless for any length of time with the pram seat in reverese
tis ok ish with pram unit in facing outwards but that's not how I like to use the bugaboo

Ah, useful as I like to have the pushchair facing me too! I've noticed quite a few virtually brand new ones on E-bay and wondered if there were problems.

Thanks.

Hi - I also use BB for v. short journeys with my two. Needed to extend the cameleon handle to accomodate son's head, otherwise he looks a bit crouched over. He is 23 months and average size. Not ideal. For longer journeys we definately need the double.

Oh and it did take him quite a few journeys to get used to the board.

Thanks. Can't decide what to do. Hormonal indecision!!

Have you considered swapping your bug for a p&t? Cos 2 is quite young still to be doing that much walking or even standing up for long periods - more effort for you as well. just a thought! Would 2nd a pouch sling, I have a hotsling (similar to coorie) and still using it every day at nearly 1.

I'm thinking about it, but don't walk a great deal, it's generally just short distances. ???

Slings seem to be popular.

Yeah, it amazes me that they are so popular for newborns really as I was far too knackered after birth to carry a baby around outside as well as in! I got mine when ds2 was 5 months, but I think they must be lovely for newborns, all snuggled up and close to you. Makes me want to do it again! I do have a friend with a bug+board (she has a frog tho) and it's been very useful for her (her eldest was 3 when baby born). It looks quite comfortable for them to stand on, but they're soooo pricey!
