Ds (4.5) would love this and I need to know it'd work and not just frustrate us all.

Reduced from £60 to £30 in Woolies...

Anyone tried it?

Oooh would be interested too.DS is Cars obsessed and would love this. Thanks Tassis,I think my christmas present dilemma may be sorted if this is any good.Have seen the film about 20,0000 times,or it seems like it.

I think we have this, is it the one where you put the cars on the track and they get propelled along? if so my ds aged 4 loves it, it does work and you can use other similar sized cars on it. Only downfall is that its not that interesting really, but I'm not a four year old boy, tis seen as a treat if i get it out and set it up hth

Haven't seen it so clearly don't know what you are talking about but... if it's anything like ones we have where there are electronic bits to line up or even just track that needs to be just so for the wretched thing to work then I'll just say that these have miraculously not made there way to the surface of the house since returning to the UK...deeply frustrating and I hate them with a passion. Suspect that something like scalectrix when they are bigger would be better (not least because they could do it solo)

tassisssss · 12/11/2007 19:36

HA, I suspect you're right

for once, I just wanted to spend £30 (for us, a LOT) on something he wasnted rather on something sensible

off to research scooters...would value you thoughts HA on why to spend more than a tenner...2 wheels at the back or one?

ooh notjustmom, thanks for that!

can he play it on his own? how many cars does it come with? how long've you had it for?

i really would like to buy ds exactly what he'd like for once (we're usually so sensible!)

Is it just the track that shoots the cars round it?

Ds2 just got it for his birthday (5) and he loves it!

tassisssss · 12/11/2007 20:08

think so elphaba, hard to tell online...didn't want to look too hard when he was with me! tell me more please! how does it go? can he play it by himself? would a one year old wee sister break it?

hmm, i'm tempted!

Clearly go with the opinion of someone who actually knows what you are talking about . Lovely to get something that he really really wants. Wish ours could be that focussed! Or at least that sensibly focussed e.g. ds2 will not be getting a bow and arrow with sticky arrows ("so that they won't hurt ds1 when I shoot him"). May concede to the Power Ranger dressing up costume though concerned it may encourage even more desire to fight ds1...

At your ds's age, I would go with the 2 wheel scooter. We have a razor one for ds1 - v sturdy, folds up, lasting nicely and plan to get one for ds2 for his birthday.
