...snappped neatly in two so it goes back together to form one complete bit and with the cover back on you'd never know

It's the head part and i'm guessing head protection is a big part of what carseats are about so i don't feel happy continuing to use it

anyone any thoughts?

do you think I could get this part of the seat replaced?

(I think it's a freeway but not 100% sure)

TMMJ, it really is very good. And that's a bargain price. The fabric may vary from the one in the picture, I was told at the checkout that if I wanted to check I liked it I could, otherwise they'd nip down and get another option!

You must replace it. A taped together seat is no way going to offer the protection your child needs.

LIZS · 10/11/2007 20:52

Have they got any in though , last time I checked it was out of stock (and being discontinued)

tassisssss · 10/11/2007 20:53

LIZS, you're right, they're out of stock.

Sorry TMMJ!

the polystyrene is used for absorbing some of the shock of impacts i think so if its broken in ANY way it needs replacing.

Hi WW! Yes, all are fine! It happened months ago and I've not got round to doing anything about it (repeat - it's not been used!). Really must phone britax on monday...do hope they'll supply new part as otherwise we won't use it. And it was very useful having a spare...

tassis (think its you that i "know" thru your chilminder!) if its just a spare then i would think it less urgent than having to replace one you use everyday.

tassisssss · 11/11/2007 19:09

mumofmonsters - don't think it's me you're thinking of...i don't have a CM!
