I've got a silver cross pop. I got it when dd was about 6 months old, she's 15 months now, and it has done a lot of mileage (I walk a lot) and frequently gets overloaded with shopping. It's light, easy to fold and unfold, and apart from the wheels losing their tread, looks pretty much as new. The harness clips are quite stiff and took some getting used to, but that does stop dd releasing herself. There's still plenty of space in the harness for her to grow. It's easy to recline the backrest or put it back up one handed. My only complaint about it is that it is not easy to push on uneven surfaces even with the wheels locked forwards, but as I have nothing to compare it to, I don't know if this is the same for other buggies. Also, it won't fold with anything bulky in the basket under the seat, and I've lost count of the times I've squashed things like cards because I forgot to take them out before folding the buggy! Apart from some WD40 on a squeaky wheel, I haven't needed to do anything to it.

Ive had my Pop for a few weeks now and prefer it to the Maclaren buggies I've had over the years (I'm on DC4). As Roskva says it's light and it pushes well. I also like the recline mechanism and I don't have to lean into the buggy seat as I did on the Maclaren. The brakes are a vast improvement too. I agree the harness clips are stiff to fasten but it is one touch to open. And the two shoulder restraint straps slot on and off the clips which means it's easier to do up the harness around a sleeping child. And I like the zipped pocket on the hood to store the raincover. The fabric seems better quality than on the Maclaren Quest which is about the same price. And it looks smart in classic black.

Thanks can either of you tell me if the wheels have suspension on the pop or not as it will get ruined over the uneven roads around me if not whihc is why I discounted the Quest (wheels to small and no suspension) but am sitll considering the techno XT

I love my techno xt, bought it when DD1 was 6mths and was used until she was walking everywhere. Use it occasionally for DD2 (4mths) still going strong, can't fault it.

No, I don't think it does have suspension. It's not brilliant on uneven surfaces, as the wheels go all over the place if they are on swivel, and tend to jam into ruts if they are fixed in position.

I store the raincover folded into the hood, and use the pocket for purse, keys, baby wipes etc

Agree with Roskva - no suspension on the Pop. I started an earlier thread on the Pop and Gingerbear said she thought the Pop was equivalent to the Techno rather than the Quest. The wheel size and type seem like the Techno - the small wheels on the Quest put me off it.

I have taken the Pop over rough ground with fixed wheels and no problems - other than shaken not stirred DS.
