New Tandem 3 wheeler jogger

Just been looking on the Tesco website at the baby store, and noticed they've got this rather swanky looking (new?) Kidz Kargo tandem three wheeler. Has anyone got experience of this pushchair - or one like it (never seen one before, not sure if anyone else makes them in the UK)? I'd be interested to hear any comments.

I'm wondering if it would be just as heavy to push as a "normal" tandem pushchair (which I definately don't want as they are difficult to control) when baby no2 comes along in Jan. My single 3 wheeler is a dream to push and by far the best (out of the 3!) pushchairs that I have already.

Sorry not to be able to help with your query, but can I be cheeky and ask what your current single 3 wheeler is? We are thinking about buying one (have a McClaren regular buggy at the moment but have recently moved to really hilly location near a big park).

Thanks

Utka - I have a Maxi Taxi Dreami which converts from a pram to a pushchair and I think it is fantastic. It is really light for a 3 wheeler and has great suspension and the pram bit comes off really easily to shove in the back of your car - although it is quite big and you need a big boot.

Sorry katmam - no idea about tandem buggies!

In Europe you can get a regular 3 wheeler with a detachable toddler seat that fits behind the main seat - a company I think called TFK manufacture it.Not sure if available in UK but just thought it might be a more practical long term solution.

Utka,

It's the Mothercare "Arctic" one. It's not too expensive, but well worth it's money!

I have a Kidz Kargo twin pram and would no way reccomend it. The seat height is adjusted with zips which have all broken, so the seats are permanently down (the first of the 4 broke the first time I used it), the stitching on the raincover came undone in 3 places, the actual frame snapped under one of the seats, and both of the footrests have broken so you they cannot be adjusted. Awful, awful, cheaply made pram. I obviously can't use it but it is just over a year old, so its now for the tip!

I have a Kidz Kargo tandam pushchair and I think it great. The seats are adjustable with clips (not zips anymore, must have changed the design) and the front seat is adjustable too. The hoods are removable too

I have an Instep Nipper, it is very light, the wheels pop off easily to get it in the car. It is so easy to push, used to have a double maclaren which was a nightmare, especially if I had a 3rd child hanging on as well!

I still think the urban detour three wheeler from Mothercare is fab - we got ours second hand and it is brilliant even after 6 months of heavy duty use. The basket underneath is a bit battered but that is because I overfill it with junk.

Highly recommended though - very light and easy to move so much so we use it when there is only one child in it too rather than our heavier britax single pushchair

I have read the entire 200 + messages posted on the last double buggy thread mostly about the Kiwi explorer but I 'm still not sure that the child behind and below gets bored stupid not being able to see anything and that we can afford it! I also noticed their is a seperate thread on the kids kargo double, any more views on this as it seems quite a reasonable deal but opinions seem to conflict. Any links to other recommended tandem doubles very much appreciated.

Just been on the Tesco website and can't find baby products! Am I being thick here and missing something?

i just use my urban detour 3 wheeler (single) and my dd1 just sits on the foot rest. she likes to walk most places now anyway, but the footrest is large enough for her to sit on.

I thought Tesco had stopped doing on line baby stuff, pity as it was quite good value and gave good descriptions.

I've been to the Tesco site, too, and cannot find the baby store. Katmam, can you post the link?
