Board game recommendations for age 3 please

What games have gone down well with your 3 year old ? DD will be almost 3 at christmas and I'd like to suggest to someone to get her a couple of games (ideally ones that might appeal to adults too if such a thing exists to keep the ILs quiet on christmas day).

ds LOVED this at 3.
We also made a game with a big sheet of lining paper and 4 separate tracks, ours was a car game (little hot wheels ones, with petrol pumps (go forward a space), oil slicks, rocks on the road and secret short cuts) but your could do it with something girlie I am sure. ds really enjoyed making it and playing it, and it was cheap and fun

One more here: Sssh Don't Wake Dad (this is a board game not just an activity to play at the weekends...).
And another vote for Tummy Ache.
