There are a number - the one we had was a 3 wheeler, the Chicco Baby Habitat Runner, look for one with pneumatic tyresp, easily removable wheels, a bell and a handbrake. (Got one for sale if you're anywhere near Birmingham!)

Yes you can but you need one with large pneumatic wheels and a handbrake. Something along these lines but there are several differnet bramds ot choose from.

I don't know if this thread might help.

I have a MAC 3 and did truly use it for running. You need a fixed front wheel or you will be all over the place on a bum/rock in the road. The MAC 3 has been a bit iffy on the durability. However, it was literally half the price of the one I wanted, and so I figured if I really beat it up, I could just buy another and still pay less than the other one.

Another nice thing about the MAC 3 (which I didn't notice until after I bought it) is that the shape of the back where the basket is leaves enough space for your running feet... a very smart designer! A lot of three wheelers have the basket straight across and a true running stride of mummy/daddy will trip on it.

The bad points are that the brake only slows it, could never be relied upon for a sudden stop. And, the strap is too big for DD, leaving her enough room to lunge quite far forward.

I think the handbrake is really only there to slow not stop on all of them, plus you may want to consider a wrist strap especially if you run down hills as that gives a bit more security than handle bar alone. We bought a length of strap and velcro designed for climbing from a Sports shop.
