Ive just had it installed everywhere and i haven't a clue what you do with it. tried a dry flash towel thingy but it still has smudges on it. Do i hoover it, mop it, or polish it? Thanks, nice friendly safe thread too.

I mop mine (or get down on hands and knees with wet cloth!) - can sometimes leave "water marks" - but it's kids rooms and i'm not too fussy

I hoover it or brush it and then mop it using liquid pledge for wooden flooring (in a bottle from sainsbury's )

B&Q sell a full range of laminate floor cleaning stuff - from the liquid cleaner to the mop things. Not used anything else so can?t compare but have found their range easy to use and cleans well enough. The cleaner seems expensive but a little goes a long way and is also supposed to condition and protect your floor (if you believe the blurb...)

we have a vax laminate floor cleaner, it was from agros about 80 quid, it washes and drys your floor, hubby says its brill, i will take his word for it!

I hoover mine with the brush attachment then either:

  1. use a laminate cleaner - it's a spray bottle and you just squirt it on and clean off with a dry cloth and it's fab - got it from the floor fitter so not sure where you get it from but it sounds like B&Q is a good bet

  2. use a damp cloth

Both require getting down on hands and knees but it's the best way of getting it clean

I've got one of the dust mop thingys - thin, wobbly handle and you attach a sheet to the bottom (bit like a nappy liner) Nowadays I use anything I can get my hands on and attach it to the bottom - sometimes dry sometimes damp!

all you need is Orange Glo (that's the exact spelling) , it comes in a see-through orange plastic spray bottle and it's an orange coloured liquid. Use it once a week with a mop and it really does make your floor clean, no marks. All it needs is a squirt, go over the area with the damp (not wet) mop and you're done. the rest of the week you can just clan the floor with a mop and warm water with a bit of fairy liquid in it.
make sure the mop is always clean though.

and just for removing dust, I use one of those sweeper things and I put an ordinary lint free soft dry cloth in the end (actually the ones from Robert Dyes or Homebase, microfibre or something they're called).
