Are there any decent pillows that don't go flat and horrible after a few months?

Fed up of buying new ones. Would rather bite the bullet and buy some really decent ones. Any recommendations for the creme de la creme of pillows?

John Lewis Hungarian Goose Down. No pillow lasts for ever but these are sheer luxury.

£60 for a pillow

£90 for a big bed.

How do you clean them, becuase for that price, you'd not want to throw them.!

I have a memory foam pillow which I love but my mum got one but said it was too firm for her.

Re JL Hungarian Goose Down Pillows. You can wash them in a large capacity washing machine. I justify the cost because my head rests on one for 7 hours every night every day of the year and I can easily spend the equivalent of £60 on a pair of shoes or £90 on a pair of boots that I do not wear for anything like the equivalent amount of time.

i have the dunlopillo latex pillows and they are great. were about £20 each but i've had them 2 years and they're still the same shape!

I do have hungarian goose down ones already but have to admit they are dunelms rather than John Lewis. They were still £40 each though and lasted about 3 months!
Might have to go for the John Lewis ones (and not tell DH!)

I second the Dunlopillo ones. DD & DH have the latex ones and I have one with a latex core and feathers on the outside which is heavenly (but expensive !)

another vote for latex from me too

Mine are now 15 years old and still the same shape and size as when they were new

I also have Dunlopillows - seems quite pricey for pillows bur worth every penny.

Nightynight · 28/10/2007 09:52

You need feather pillows!

The best buys I have found are from Argos, the normal price, down ones (duck, I think, not goose). They are not too expensive and are good quality.
