I am looking for quite a few gifts and want to buy online but can't find what I want (including a gorgeous christmas stocking for my one year old - would like something really traditional and lovely).

To give you an idea of what I'm looking for, this website:

re-found objects

is lovely although the website is so annoying I've hardly ever managed to buy anything from there. I especially love this

trust me

nailpolish · 22/10/2007 16:14

but since you asked, past times have stockings at xmas

margoandjerry · 22/10/2007 16:16

you are so right, of course.

She would actually love a whisk and some newspaper...her favourite toys of the moment.

But yes, I want a lovely Christmas stocking for her so we can be all "The Night Before Christmas"

Love your site southeastastra. Will look at Past Times too - I always secretly like that shop...

I bought a stocking for mine from John Lewis and added their names and year of birth in red felt - pic in profile

DirtyGertiefromnumber30 · 22/10/2007 16:29

i got our kids stockings for matalan but i like looking at this website

www.notonthehighstreet.com/shop/christmas

ADragonIs4LifeNotJustHalloween · 22/10/2007 16:29

This is one of my favourites. I often look at it and sigh.

I made SmallDragons their Santa sacks. Red fabric and a different design on each one - DS1 has a reindeer, DS2 a snowman and BabyDragon a load of silver stars.

margoandjerry · 22/10/2007 19:19

Exactly nailpolish! She'll have her stocking hanging up next to her cousins' and in fact they will open her presents for her, as they did on her birthday and then take them away and play with them while she focuses on the speck of fluff she's found.

Didn't realise it was that odd tbh.

RustyBear · 22/10/2007 19:29

margoandjerry - have you really never come across Soupy before? He's a Mumsnet regular...

margoandjerry · 22/10/2007 19:34

oh, so I am bats? OK. Fair cop

Still want a Christmas stocking for my girl though. Assume Christmas present is ok? Christmas tree? (is just me and the girl at home so no one else to worry about).

I think this shop is marvellous (and no, it's nothing to do with me!)
