Car seats for age 4 plus - anyone got a maxi cosi rodi?

I just bought a maxi cosi rodi for my nearly four year old and it's awful. It tilts every time we go round a corner and then doesn't right itself so she ends up speeding down the motorway at a 45 degree angle which can't be safe.

I've complained to maxi cosi about it but they say mine is the first compliant they've ever had and I should've gone to my local authority and asked to try out car seats there???

I bought this seat because my daughter's best friend has one and she wanted one the same. It seems to work Ok in a people carrier because the actual seat in the car is a single unit with head rests and therefore holds the maxi cosi seat snugly. We have a cherokee jeep, hardly a rare car for a family - which can take three passengers but is just one bench across the back and the car seat's just all over the place in it.

I've complained to maxi cosi and to the company I bought the seat from but got nowhere (despite saying I run a parenting website!!!) So a) has anyone else had this problem?
b) can anyone recommend a 4-11 seat that works in a jeep/on a flat back seat?
c) anyone with a people carrier/car with moulded seats want an almost new car seat!!!!

All help appreciated

We've been quite happy with ours although it is fitted into the sculptured seat of Renault Scenic 4*4 so you might be right that this holds it better.

We like the fact that the back stays intact and can be adjusted to meet the angle of the seat back although we removed the original head rest to enable it to sit better against the seat back.

Won't all boosters slide to some extent on a bench type seat ? Is it still possible to fit inertia kids belts into a car as I recall my cousins having them many years ago or perhaps the car manufacturer or Rospa can help.
