My DS will be 21 months when DC2 is born and I love my m&p 3 in 1! I am thinking about buying a buggyboard and a new sling but don't know which to get.

slings - i've got a babybjorn but am concerned about baby sleeping in it and found it got too heavy very quickly. I've seen the tricotti but don't know if suitable for both me and DH to wear.

buggyboards - I've seen a sit / stand one on Tesco Direct and don't know if it will fit my pushchair.

I have been offered a 2nd hand phil and ted double pushchair from a friend so am thinking of having that as a back up.

Please help - too many decisions to make!

I'd take the P&T and see how you get on - you can always give it back.

any sling will be comfier than a Bjorn - wraps are best but tricky to use. An alternative would be the Closer one

I double is very useful when it's raining, freezing cold, dc are ill etc and 21 months is quite young to not have a double at all if you do a fair amount of walking. I'm pretty sure a litaf seat to go will fit your M&P

Go for the double, my eldest girl is 22 months and no way would she entertain a buggyboard at this age.

Wrap sling will hold the baby most comfortably so you won't feel the weight.

Get the phil and teds.

My dd was 27 months and I still ended up buying one when dd2 was about 5 months.

Buggyboard plus pram means kerbs a pita. Hills are hell as the weight is all at the back too.

I used a stretchy wrap and my 3 in one for first 3 months, Second two buggyboard then enough was enough. Dd1 was fed up being cold and wet.

Thanks everyone. If I am going to go for the double option then I'm going to have to do some more serious thinking!

well, as someone who walks EVERYWHERE, i'd say get the phil and teds, because they are genius; but maybe a buggyboard too - borrow one perhaps, because then you have lots of options.

Has anyone managed to fit a buggyboard on to a Phil and Teds? If so, HOW? (P&T says not possible and I can't work it out from buggyboard.info as brake gets in the way)

We walk a long way, often on muddy ground, so love the 3 wheeler P&T but I'd like option of baby in front so he can see more and toddler having to walk more rather than climbing in and out of P&T.
