Trikes/wheely bugs for 1st birthday present for DD advice needed now!

I really just don't know what to buy my soon to be one year old DD. A ladybird wheely bug, an ELC wooden trike or a push along trike with a long handle? All three with helps from relatives. I can see the pros and cons of all of them but can't decide

DD at 11 months can cruise but not walk. We have a smallish town garden but quite a large house with lots of corriders.

Any advice?

wheely bugs are great
they do go very fast on wooden floors and the first size is small
ds has had his for over a year and still loves it

ds got a wee wooden trike for his first Christmas, the galt one but very like the ELC one. go for plastic wheels so it can be used inside and out. Think John Lewis stock the galt one. He still loves it aged 4.5.

dd got a wheelybug for her first birthday a few weeks ago and it's lovely. She loves kneeling in front of it and pushing it around. Also likes patting it. Can sit on it but gets very cross as she can't yet move it. Ds (4.5) loves this too. I'd go straight for the larger one - yes an extra tenner, but it's going to last a whole lot longer.

Both make excellent 1st b'day presents IMO.

We had a trike with a long handle for 2nd b'day present and it wasn't a big hit.

great - will get wheely bug and the elc wooden trike. Will go for the bigger bug, my DD is very tall for her age so I don't think she would get much use out of the smaller one so thats great feedbck.

I'm thinking of a wheely bug too (and possibly the galt trike). DS2 is 10 months. We have a long handled trike (berchet) and it has had a lot of use with us pushing. I can stick ds2 in it now and he's ok if I keep a close eye on him. But ds1 has only just learn to ride it himself and he's 3.9! Fairly small for his age but still, they're harder to ride than bikes are for most children because of the angle. However, really useful for that independent stage when they just don't want to be in a pushchair but can't walk the distance (going to the park for instance, down the stree to the post box). But they're more suited to a 1.5/2 year old than this age group really even with them strapped in.
My ds isn't particularly tall but reasonably big and sturdy, still not sure about buying the large size for him as they're advertised as 2-5 years aren't they?

Our Ds1(28 months) still plays on his Wheely bug everyday. He's very tall for his age and is starting to look a bit uncomfortable on it,so last week we bought him the larger sized bug to put away as his main christmas pressie. Can't wait to see his face when he opens it.

We have a first size wheely bug and also a couple of push along/ride-on things. The wheely bug was a first birthday present.
I found the wheely bug was way too fast for my ds to push - flat on his face. Also the handle was too low for him to push.
His top fave is a ride-on that you can also push. Just to add to your list of options He loves a ghastly nemo ride-on that we were given, and it is still a top favourite. He pushed it from 8 months and it was nice and slow so he didn't lose his balance, it makes silly noises and the seat lifts up so that he can put all of his junk, inside.
He is now almost three and he does like the wheely bug, but his brighter bike is now his top fave. So in all honesty I think the wheely bug has never really been a contender for favourite toy.
I haven't tried the push along trike thingm but the little elc trike is gorgeous. We almost bought one and whenever we visited ELC, DS would leap onto it. I think he likes the handlebars and movable front wheel.
Is there anyway you can take her along to somewhere they sell this stuff so that she can try it? John Lewis?
