toddler hairdryers?

Dd's 2 and now has a rather spectacular head of hair (I think ) which needs washing at least twice a week. Previously and when the weather was warmer it would mostly be dry by bedtime after a good rub with a towel but now I'm needing to dry it properly and have been using a small portable hairdryer but dd hates it as she doesn't like the hot air. Is there such a thing as a specially cool one for a toddler's hair? I can't wash her hair earlier really as I have to do it in the bath and don't particularly want to give her 2 baths a day. Bedtime bath is such an essential part of her bedtime routine I don't either want to cut it out even twice a week.

my normal hairdyer has a button which if kept pressed only delivers cool air. I imagine most hairdryers have this function. sorry I can't reccomend a particular make.

I have to blow dry my children's hair because we bath right before bed and there's no time for it to dry. Just use my grown up one on 'cool' - most middle of range to posh dryers have this now as it's used to 'set' the hair.

Oh ok, thanks, I'll pop into Boots tomorrow. I wondered if it was a regular thing that hairdryers have a cool button. I haven't had one for years myself as I'm so natural ... !!!!!

Oh life without a hairdryer... heaven! My dd's hair is getting a bit long and curly and doesn't dry by bedtime very well either. Don't know how she'll take to having it dried though. Let us know how you get on

bonnie, I've been doing it for the last month or so and it's fine if dp is home as he can hold her / distract her and I can hold the hair up away from her head to dry it. But when it's just me and her it's a bit of a struggle. I think a cool blowing one would solve the problem though as it's the heat she doesn't like rather than the air.
