called Kids should be kids - check it out. I HATE all the tarty/army stuff that is sold for kids these days, and I know there have been threads about it...

(PS, I don't work for them or anything, just thought this was the sort of shop I'd like to get behind. I am buying some of the Italy kids striped ones for my DCs Christmas Portrait shoot)

(lapin, if you like Jako-o, try Polarn & Pyret - no stores very near you but worth a look if you're passing one)

Lilymaid · 22/10/2007 14:12

My DSs are far too old for these clothes, but they do remind me of KidsStuff - particularly the stripy tops and coordinated trousers - which I bought back in the early 90s in order to avoid all the logos/army camoflage etc.

FlameBat · 22/10/2007 14:17

I'm in heaven!!! They have whole stripe sections

nutcracker · 22/10/2007 14:20

Nice stuff, bit too pricey for me still, but nice range of stripes anyway, I do love Ds in stripes

FlameBat · 22/10/2007 14:20

(I have a stripey skater boy most of the time btw - they don't all have to have slogan t-shirts)

Astrophe · 22/10/2007 16:09

I LOVE the stripes too! bought 4!

I don't mind the name - it didn't make me think 'reactionary', although I can see your point. Maybe (name of shop) - then use kids should be kids as a sort of tag line after the name. So, for example

Mudpies
-kids should be kids-

Although I daesay there is alrady a shop called Mudpies. Bt you get my drift, hopefully.

Thank you to you all for your messages. It is so nice to get feedback ? please keep it coming.

I am surprise some of you don't like the name (Ohh dear?? the one thing I thought I had got right ? lol), I certainly take your point onboard. I was trying to find a name that made me different from other online shops and a name that sort of implies the kind of stuff I sell.

One message mentioned plain white tops - should have a load more of those coming in next week. Someone else mentioned coats - I know....... I haven't got any, - sorry. The website has only been going since May and I am trying to find my feet before I invest too much. Fingers crossed I will have coats next year (absolutely no good to you this year?.. I know). And as the coats are from Denmark they will all be slightly longer than the coats you can get over here. Don't know about you, but I always find it hard to find a coat that actually covers my daughter?s bum.

Anyway a question for you all, the stripy tops I sell for children, I may be able to get these for women. A really nice fit, fitted without being tight and as always a jolly nice quality. Not a top for going out in, but a nice every day top. I would have to charge £15 for a top (adult stripy top) do you think they would sell? I would love to get your feedback.

Still cannot believe you don't like the name www.kidsshouldbekids.co.uk (only joking). Please, please keep sending me feedback, it is great to hear from you all. And as I have said before, - negative feedback is also good as it is the only way I can improve!

MrsBadger · 27/10/2007 15:58

horizontal stripes on post-childbirth women?

nooooooo

BellaBear · 27/10/2007 16:09

unisex baby clothes would be good - not just brown/blue and red/pink

babygros in plain bright colours perhaps?

(or does anyone know where I can get these?)

MrsBadger · 27/10/2007 17:26

Bella, American Apparel have long- and short-sleeved vests in terrific colours, but not sleepsuits. LeisureWearhouse have some stuff too - otherwise H&M are a good bet.

NBheebieGeebies · 27/10/2007 17:37

lol MrsB

Stripes on post birth mums are not good no
lol

I dont mind the name. It gives the right image and gets the message across.

More under 1's stuff please and noooooo cars, pirates, dogs or diggers on the boys stuff.
Thanks

Malene · 28/10/2007 13:08

Thanks again for the feedback - jolly pleased that someone likes the name (only joking). Ok I take your point with regards to stripy tops on mums who have just had a baby!

Someone requested stripy baby rompers - I have loads of these coming in this week. I will keep you posted and they are unisex!

Please keep your feedback coming - I am so grateful!

Malene · 28/10/2007 13:11

Ohhh forgot to say more under 1s clothes in this week as well. When ordering please enter kids and you will get 10% off - just so grateful for all the feedback!

BellaBear · 28/10/2007 14:06

MrsBadger, you genious !

BellaBear · 28/10/2007 14:06

genius even

berolina · 28/10/2007 14:27

To add to WW's post, Jako-o are fab. They're a German company so we use them a lot. Occasionally the sizing is a little odd, and some items are a little pricey for what they are, bzt overall we have been very impressed. (If nothing else, go to their site to have a giggle at the English translation )

stylishmum · 31/10/2007 11:35

Have a look at this website, they do lots of lovely retro style hip clothing: www.littlebabycompany.com

Shitemum · 15/11/2007 00:21

Astrophe and kindersurprise - the Kidshouldbekids site is now working fine! I got a stripy top for DD1 and the quality seems very good. Check it out, they have lots of new stuff in now.www.kidsshouldbekids.co.uk/index.php
