Bunk Beds... Any ideas?

I'm thinking of getting some bunk beds but I'm not sure where to go. Would happily get them from Ikea but DP is total snob and refuses. Where else can you get them from? Quite like the idea of the metal framed ones but don't know where to look. Any ideas?

We got ours from Index, about £150 for Ds1 and DS2.

To say they love them would be an understatment.

I'll find them and do a link....hang on....

We are getting some from aspace - they have a website - lovely but not cheap.

Unfortunately DP is caught between not spending much money and not wanting to buy from Ikea. More fool him I say !! I will check out Argos and Index though thanks.

We got DS bunk bed from ARGOS several years ago ity is made of steel and very heavy and strong.

It has single bed on top with double sofa bed underneath. He loves it and it also tall enough on the sofa for DH to sit comfortably without bumping head.

would thoughly recommend it. colour is black.

Have a look at the cosmic beds here . A friend has them and they look fab and are of great quality - a real alternative to Jaybee and similar. hth?

emmatmg · 20/10/2004 17:56

I LOVE those poppy!

I think our index one are a slight rip off of yours.

poppyseed · 20/10/2004 17:56

PS before you get them make sure that you have enough ceiling clearance - I know loads of people who have them and their kids bang heads frequently because they can't sit up - more in modern houses, although I'm sure that you've probably thought about it already .
I'll shut up now!!!

emmatmg - I haven't seen the Index ones - will go and hunt now.. The habitat ones are £335 which from my memory puts them nearly £200 cheaper than the Jaybee

Maudy · 21/10/2004 16:08

Thanks for these everyone this is exactly the sort of thing I am looking for. I love the Habitat ones but I also think the Index version are a really good rip off (and much cheaper!!).

Now off to look for some nice bedding. Any ideas in that area?
