is the quinny zapp still the smallest -folding, lightest buggy around?

dd is walking more and more, so we hardly ever use her buggy, more often take her push-along trike. but i'm beginning to feel like a bit of a prat pushing a trike with no child in it so was wondering if i could buy somethign that would sling over my shoulder and fold out to be some sort of basic buggy?

its never been light!

get a mac triumph. or volo

AitchTwoOh · 14/10/2007 18:36

oh right, i assumed it was light as well. i think i have a volo as a hand-me-down but it's really long and unwieldy, that's what made me look at the half-folding ones. it's just possible that the thing i want hasn't been invented, then.

theres a funny looking thing on mothercare site. by safety first maybe?

LadyVictoriaOfCake · 14/10/2007 18:39

here

PillockInThePumpkin · 14/10/2007 18:47

I have a Zapp and I think it's quite light, I have carried it over my shoulder before now, but would depend how far you have to go

TheOriginalXENA · 14/10/2007 18:49

our volo has a strap you can carry it with. Ours doesn't have a raincover or hood (which makes it more bulky anyway!)

bagpuss · 14/10/2007 20:08

Volo, volo, volo, volo! LVOC recommended it to me months ago now and I love ours . I bought from Kiddicare last year's colourway which was £39 and when I need it to be super compact we just take the hood off and it folds very small indeed. It is perfect for a walking child.

AitchTwoOh · 14/10/2007 20:32

i have a volo already... it's too long. or i'm too short. it's easier to push teh empty trike at this stage. i'm looking for something i can slin over my shoulder and for it not to drag on the ground...

I have a Zapp, and I'd say it's too heavy to just sling over your shoulder. I have seen the Mothercare one, and it is much lighter.

AitchTwoOh · 14/10/2007 21:07

do you know what i actually want? a stick with a wheel on the end and a crossbar for her to stand on...

gigglewitch · 14/10/2007 21:10

isn't that called a scooter?

AitchTwoOh · 14/10/2007 21:12

god yes. but the thing about a scooter is that it's hard to control. i really just want a stick that i can wheel her about on, like hannibal lecter in the airport.

i wouldn't carry my zapp far. It folds nice and small (ie for titchy car boot) and has a great bag which keeps the car clean n tidy, but it's not good for the carrying with u "just in case" scenario.

gigglewitch · 14/10/2007 21:13

LOL ur last post

gigglewitch · 14/10/2007 21:15

invent one. we'll all want one so you will make a fortune in no time at all. Folding telescopic child-transporter. Can i order three now??

AitchTwoOh · 14/10/2007 21:26

LadyG · 30/10/2007 13:25

Having similar issues so bouncing
The steering lock on our trike is broken making journeys down the high street interesting. My DH wanted to know if there was a buggy that folded up to a backpack-now that would be a great idea! How about a hippychick hip seat type thing-haven't tried it but thinking of getting one

LadyG · 30/10/2007 13:57

Phil and Teds smart buggy very odd looking two wheeled thing-anyone tried it?
